Democracy?

Don’t close the door on Democracy! Can those responsible for closing the polling stations while people waited to cast their vote, be put backwards on a donkey and paraded through the streets?
In 1994 I was allowed to vote, for the first time, in the Rainbow Nation. Thousands stood in the rain for hours anxious to have their voice heard through their ballot. The polling stations were kept open for hours, in some case for days, after the due closing time. Democracy here? I wish.
