Stockport Stars and Bury Brilliants

The signs were bad. Today was going to be difficult. I had to get from London to Stockport Grammar School and see Year 6. The taxi couldn’t get to me because of the heavy traffic but when I got to London Euston the train had been cancelled. Someone had nicked the electric cables up the line at Luton. Now I might talk and write about taking risks but that’s crazy. Anyway, I finally got to Stockport so thank you everyone for waiting so patiently. The Red Devils triumphed in the quiz. (I wonder where they got that name from! I think I might know). Well done boys and girls and thanks for all your enthusiasm and very good questions. Now it's late and I’m in a hotel – it’s got dark red and black furnishing and I think maybe I should be a Goth!! (This was written on Monday 18th but the hotel’s broadband cable didn’t fit my computer)

Now it’s Tuesday and I had to get out of this very nice but very dark hotel! The lift was so dark I could barely see the buttons! The lights were dark red and it was like being in a horror movie coffin going up and down until finally I stumbled out into the light, found a taxi driver who didn’t know where Unsworth Primary School was, and whose car’s heater was broken so it pumped out heat. We asked the Lollypop Lady and she told us where all those children at Unsworth where! I went to school with my satchel in hand like everyone else. SO! Unsworth Year 6. Wow! Did we have fun. Lots of it. And a big ‘thank you’ to Mr Felt Tip Lewis. Without his help I wouldn’t have been able to do all those signatures. And I’ve never kissed so many books! By the sound of it you really like the book and some of you promised to write. And I have safely tucked away my special note from "G".

Don't forget the quiz on the website. Puffin tell me there's been a great response and someone will go on a special survival course. Bye for now.
