Dragon Boat Race
The River Dart has seen trade since the Phoenecians, but this is the first time we've had a Dragon Boat Race! It was all for charity organised by Rotary and the sponsored crews were all volunteers. It was a marvellous day that drew locals and visitors.
Families had picnics, dogs ran and babies played. It was a generous atmosphere, the community came out in support and great food and entertainment was had by all.
There are always those, of course, who want to get in on the act with a slightly unfair advantage
